Frequently Asked Questions

At what age can you start Jacappella?

It is never to early to begin Jacappella classes. Babies are welcome from birth in our village hall classes. For lessons held in day nurseries the children need to be able to sit independently.

There isn't a class in my area? What can I do?

If classes are not running in your area, please email us with your details and we will let you know as soon as we have classes up and running which you may like to attend. If you know anyone who would like to become an Associate Teacher or Franchisee please let us know. We are always looking for new vibrant, enthusiastic people to join us in our quest to make Jacappella Music Classes accessible to all children.

Do you offer Jacappella parties?

Yes our Jacappella Birthday  parties are very popular. Please check with your Jacappella Teacher or Head Office for details.

Can we join at any time?

Yes, there is no need to wait for the start of a half term to join - You can join at any time.

Can we try a class for free?

We ask all parents to book and pay for the first half term (or remaining lessons of that half term) before attending the first lesson to secure your child's place in the class. The first lesson is free and our no quibble money back guarantee means that if you decide not to attend after the first lesson you will receive a full refund on the class fees.

Why does the money back guarantee not apply to the Course Materials?

The Course Materials comprise the Jacappella My Musical Journey Book and CD. As these are subject to copyright restrictions we regret we cannot offer a refund with regard to Course Materials.

How do I pay?

The most straightforward way to pay is online using your credit or debit card. Once registered, you will be invoiced half termly in advance.

Is there a sibling discount?

There is no charge for Babies under six months of age attending with a sibling. Once they reach six months the sibling rate for the second and subsequent children is charged. There is currently a 50% discount for siblings.

What are the Course Materials?

The course materials are comprised of a Jacappella My Musical Journey Book and CD. These must be purchased for every child attending classes except babies under six months of age attending with a sibling. A new set of Course Materials must be purchased on joining Jacappella and each subsequent September.

Do we have to pay for medals?

Children  enrolled as a pupil of a Jacappella Franchisee or Associate Teacher will receive medals twice each year from Head Office free of charge.

Children enrolled in Jacappella Music Centres  will also receive medals free of charge from Head Office.

Where the Jacappella Music Centres pay for classes on behalf of parents, medals may or may not be included. You will still be offered an opportunity to purchase medals for a small fee. Please check with your child's nursery.

My child has loved Jacappella but is going to school in September. How can we continue Jacappella Music Classes?

Some of our Franchisees, Teachers and Day Nursery Jacappella Music Centres offer after school classes and Saturday morning classes for 5-7 year olds, enabling children to continue their lessons until they are ready to begin instrumental lessons. For availability of these classes, please check with your Jacappella teacher or Head Office..
