The Curriculum

Jacappella classes aim to develop children's musical knowledge through a range of activities including

nursery rhymes and Jacappella songs and rhymes
action games
circle games
extensive use of percussion instruments
listening and moving to a variety of music
performing to classical music
group performance
individual performance

Jacappella classes are enjoyable and fun, incorporate the EYFS early learning goals and provide valuable pre-instrumental training for those children who wish to go on to play an instrument later.

Jacappella's unique approach allows each child to develop at their own pace within the security of their peer group. In addition to gaining musical skills, children will be able to enhance their social skills as they learn to share, take turns and to concentrate. The classses provide an opportunity for children to learn alongside children of their own age, to begin to socialise and to make friends.

The Jacappella unique rewards system including the regular presentation of awards and reports builds each child's sense of self worth and increases their self esteem, allowing children to become confident budding musicians.
